RENATE chose to prepare and deliver their side-event at the CSW68 to speak to the issues of Human Trafficking and Modern Slavery as they relate to the priorities of this year’s CSW68. Two APT Ireland members contributed directly to this year’s webinar. Eilis Coe, RSC, who leads the RENATE online House of Prayer , prepared the opening reflection for the evening. Mr. Brian O’ Toole, Justice Director for the Presentation Sisters and leader of the RENATE Law Task group research, presented a comprehensive overview of the current piece of research underway by the RENATE Network. This research explores the legal provisions- or lack thereof- by six European countries, for victims/survivors of human trafficking.
This years event was moderated by Ms. Anne Kelleher.
Thanks to Brian O’ Toole, in the link below, we offer a segmented recording of all inputs to this event.
