Human Rights & Corporate Accountability; Realising the Sustainable Development Goals.

In advance of the 78th Session of the United Nations General Assembly, the Presentation Sisters Justice desk for Ireland and England, issue an open invitation to attend a workshop hosted by the Africa-Europe Faith and Justice Network Ireland (AEFJN) in collaboration with the Irish Coalition for Business and Human Rights (ICBHR).

The event takes place on 6 September 2023 Dublin 9, Ireland, from 2pm – 4.30pm, in the Edmund Rice, Hall Marino Institute of Education.

Speakers are as follows:

  1. Brian O’ Toole, Justice coordinator for the Presentation Sisters; member of Coalition 2030; member of APT Ireland (Act to prevent Trafficking) and APT Ireland’s representative on the Working Board of RENATE Europe (the Network of Religious Working against Trafficking and Exploitation).
  2. Sorcha Tunney, Irish Coalition for Business and Human Rights.

During the event, there will be a screening of the 2022 documentary film ‘’Make it Your Business,’’ exploring issues of human rights abuses and environmental violations in corporate value chains.
